Through the Griffith University Early Start to Tertiary Studies (GUESTS) Program, motivated students can study a university course (subject) while at high school. They can experience the challenge and excitement of university life, and have the chance to receive guaranteed entry into Griffith University. You’ll be enrolled as a non-award(1) Griffith University student and receive a student ID card. You’ll also have access to a range of resources and services including libraries, online learning resources, careers advice and learning skills workshops. Griffith University sponsors GUESTS students, so you won’t need to pay tuition fees or student contribution charges while studying through the program.
GUESTS students who complete one university course and achieve a Pass grade or better are eligible to receive guaranteed admission(2) to a wide range of undergraduate degree programs at Griffith University. GUESTS students receive one bonus admission rank towards other Griffith University degree program preferences(3) when applying through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). When you enrol in a Griffith degree, you’ll receive credit for any courses you successfully completed through the GUESTS program.

Creative Arts at Sheldon College
Students must be OP eligible and are required to submit samples of their work from Year 11 plus have the following academic results, HA in Year 11 Film and Media related subject and HA in Year 11 English and passing grades in all other Authority subjects. All applicants must be able to use and have access to Adobe Photoshop, After Effects and Maya. The subject offered in Semester 1 is 1711GFS Digital Storytelling which is part of the Bachelor of Film and Screen Media Production. The top three students by academic results for Digital Storytelling will be eligible to apply for guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Film and Media Production, South Bank. All other students that successfully complete their course will be eligible to apply for guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Digital Media, Gold Coast.
Performance Arts at Sheldon College
This course is available to any OP eligible student in the Redlands who meets the GUESTS entry requirements; HA in Year 11 Drama and HA in Year 11 English and passing grades in all other Authority subjects. The subject offered in Semester 1 is 1108 EDN Introduction to Performance Skills which is part of the Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary and Applied Theatre. Students, who successfully complete their GUESTS course at Sheldon College, are eligible to apply for guaranteed admission into the Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary and Applied Theatre.
